Progressive
Brake
The
tabulator
of
the
HERMES
2000
is
fitted
with
a
device
for
slowing
down
the
movement
of
the
carriage.
A
normal
pressure
on
Tabulator
Key
(33)
causes
the
carriage
to
slide
rapidly.
A
stronger
pressure
makes
it
travel
more
slowly
and
avoids
all
shock
when
it
comes
to
a
stop.
The
advantage
of
a
progressive
brake
of
this
type
is
obvious.
