Connection of an electric catch, lock and of a gate motor
The functions are only valid if the handset is picked up.
- An electric lock or strike may be connected to terminals 7 and 8 on the outdoor station.
The strike or lock will be controlled by a short press (1 sec.) on the
key on the handset.
Important : It is essential that the electric latch or lock installed has a mechanical memory like all products
marketed by Extel. For the wiring diagram please consult the label on the back of the handset and the back of the
outdoor station.
- An automatic gate opener, may be connected to terminals 5 and 6 and the two «external control» terminals on
the automatic opener.
The automatic opening mechanism is controlled by pressing key
on the handset for 3 seconds.
c. Connecting an extra indoor station (CB BUS PRO 3)
An additional CB BUS PRO 3 handset can be connected in parallel to the nearest handset.
You can connect up to 6 additional handsets
Intercommunication between same family handsets (optional CB BUS PRO 3) : The button can be used to call
the handsets and communicate discreetly. (Calls from the outdoor station are disabled while using the intercom
function), however, intercommunication stops with incoming calls from the outdoor station to other homes.
d. Power supply connection
Connect it directly to the 1 and 2 terminals of the handset. (Take care to observe proper polarity)
- A single power unit is sufcient when installing with multiple handsets.
- The power supply must be installed on the handset closest to the intercom panel
e. Activation of the 3- or 4-family mode
See the wiring diagram (g. 6 or 7)
- Remove the “JP3” jumper to activate 3- or 4-family of the outdoor station (g.2b - 10)
- Remove jumpers “JP1” and/or “JP2” of the handset (g 2a - 6) to set your handset as family 1, 2, 3, or 4.
Settings :
It is essential to ensure that the poles are correctly matched when connecting the
handset.
Note: there is no monitoring function. Only calls from the outdoor station enable outward communications.
Important :
Call duration: approximately 30 seconds (6 chimes)
Maximum communication time with outdoor station: approximately 90 seconds
Same family handset intercom time: 30 seconds maximum
