WHEELS
Worn, improperly inflated, improper sized, or incorrectly installed tires will affect vehicle
handling and could cause an accident resulting in severe injury or death.
The wheel spacers and wheel bolts provided must not be modified in any manner.
Assemble per instructions. CONFIRM ADAPTERS OR SPACERS ARE SITTING FLUSH
AFTER ASSEMBLY AND PROPERLY TORQUE WHEEL BOLTS AND LUGS. Not properly
torquing or inspecting could result in vibration, wheel loss, serious injury or death.
To decrease the risk of component damage, do not tighten the lug nuts to more than the
torque specified below.
Check the lug nuts for tightness at the intervals indicated in the SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE CHART on page 34.
Wheel Removal
1. Lift the vehicle. See LIFTING THE VEHICLE on page 36.
2. Remove the lug nuts.
3. Remove the tire from the vehicle.
Wheel Installation
NOTICE: To decrease the risk of component damage, do not tighten the lug nuts
to more than the specified torque.
NOTICE: Always install lug nuts using a cross sequence pattern to ensure the
even seating of the wheel against the hub.
NOTICE: If vehicle is equipped with hub spacers, ensure that spacers are
torqued to 65-75 ft. lbs. (88-102 Nm) before installing wheel.
1. Install the wheel on the hub with lug nuts. Make sure the valve stem is to the out-
side.
2. Finger tighten the lug nuts.
3. Using the cross tightening pattern shown to the right, tighten the lug nuts to 65 - 85 ft.lbs. (88 - 115 Nm). Tighten
in increments of 20 ft. lbs. (27 Nm).
LIGHTS
Clean the lights frequently to maximize visibility.
Replace burned out bulbs promptly.
Do not operate this vehicle at night or in low light if any bulbs are burned out. Poor light-
ing reduces visibility that could cause an accident resulting in severe injury or death.
NOTICE: Replacement bulbs are available from a local Distributor, an authorized Branch or the Service Parts
Department.
Light components can get hot if they have been in operation. Allow the lights to cool
before servicing to prevent burns to the skin.
Tools
• lug wrench, 3/4” • impact socket, 3/4”
• impact wrench • torque wrench, ft.lbs.
Lug Nut Torque 65 - 85 ft.lbs. (88 - 115 Nm)
Valve Stem Cap
Tire style may vary.
