Rectifier 3000 mA
General:
Description: to be used especially with LED lighting to avoid a slight flickering of the small lamps (Art. 180647, 180648, 180649)
The rectifier permits several FALLER Car System components to be connected and supplied with DC voltage at the same time.
If connected to a transformer, e.g., FALLER Art.No. 180641, the rectifier can be loaded with 3000 mA for a short period of time (5 to 10 minutes).
IMPORTANT: The possible current loading is always dependent on the type of transformer used.
Please consult the technical DATA, if you use a transformer other than the above one.
If 16 V / 1 A (1000 mA), e.g., is specified on the transformer, a current loading of only
1 A (1000 mA) will be possible on the rectifier.
CAUTION: Continuous current loading 2500 mA max.
There is a risk of overheating.
To be observed by all means:
Use wires with a large cross-sectional area for the feed lines from the transformer to the rectifier.
The conductor cross-sectional area should be 1 - 1.5 mm
2
min.
If the wires are too thin, this does not only mean excessive heating of the feed lines,
but also DC voltage losses of more than 2 V DC.
Mount the rectifier with a clearance of at least 5 cm, so that good air circulation is possible.
Caution in the event of short-circuit.
The recitifier does not have any overload protection.
