Usage Features

Menu Operation: The monitor offers both touchscreen and button-based menu navigation.

  • Touchscreen: Double-tap the screen to open the main menu on the left side. Tap corresponding menus to access secondary menus. Use "<" or ">" keys for selection or setting. Swipe up from the bottom for a shortcut menu. The left side of the screen (in 1/2 split screen mode) allows direct adjustment of backlight brightness, while the right side adjusts volume.
  • Buttons: The monitor has F1, F2, "<", ">", MENU, "V", "Λ", and Power On/Off buttons. F1 and F2 are custom buttons. "<" and ">" decrease/increase volume or backlight when OSD is not displayed, or adjust selected parameters when OSD is displayed. MENU displays the OSD Main menu or returns to the previous OSD menu. "V" and "Λ" select next/previous menu items.
  • Touch Switch: The touchscreen function can be turned on or off via the menu. If off, button navigation is required to re-enable it.
  • Power On: The monitor supports auto power-on (default) or manual power-on. In manual mode, it enters standby after power on, requiring a press of the power button to fully turn on.

  • Image Adjustment: Brightness, Contrast, Sharpness, Tint, Saturation, Color Temp (6500, 9300, User with adjustable Red, Green, Blue from 0-255), Pic. Mode (Standard, Mild, User, Dynamic).
  • LUT Support: User custom 3D LUT import via Type-C to USB. Built-in LUTs include SLOG2, SLOG3, LOGC, VLOG.
  • OSD Settings: OSD Trans. (Off, Low, Middle, High), OSD Time (Off, 10Sec, 20Sec, 30Sec), No Signal (Blue Screen, Red Screen, Green Screen, Gray Screen, Black Screen, White Screen).
  • Language: English, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Dutch, German, Japanese, Traditional Chinese.
  • USB Upgrade: Firmware can be upgraded by copying the file to a U disk, connecting it via a Type-C to USB adapter, and confirming the upgrade.

Power Supply:

  • F970 Battery Plate: Compatible with Sony F970 series batteries (F970, F960, F950, F930, F770, F750, F730, F570, F550, F530, QM91D, QM91, QM90D, QM90, QM71D, QM71, QM70D, QM70, QM51D, QM51, FM71, FM70 series).
  • DC 12V Input: A 5.5mm outer, 2.1mm inner DC power port supports 7~24V wide voltage. A 3A power adapter is recommended when powering other equipment.
  • Type-C 5V Input: Can be connected to a power bank for local power supply. Not recommended for data transmission or providing loop-out power to other devices.
  • DC OUT 8.4V: Provides power to DSLR or mirrorless cameras via a separately available DC coupler (e.g., NP-FW50 Sony, LP-E6 Canon, DMW-BLF19 Panasonic).
  • External Install and Power Kit: This kit on the back of the monitor allows installation and powering of external equipment (wireless transmitters, LED lights, video converters) using the F970 battery. It has two cross grooves for adjusting device position and can be installed upside down.

Mounting:

  • ¼-20 Thread Points: Four thread points (top, bottom, right side, back center) for connecting to hot shoe mounts or tripods.
  • Tilt Arm Mounting: Secures to a camera via a shoe mount or ¼-20 thread. The included Tilt Arm allows 180° tilt and has a cold shoe for accessories like microphones or LED lights.

Sunshade: The monitor includes an external sunshade for sunlight readability. It consists of a sunshade frame and the sunshade itself. The sunshade frame locks onto the monitor, and the sunshade attaches to the frame via stickers and pressing on three sides.

Maintenance Features

General Care:

  • Avoid heavy impact and dropping the product.
  • The screen is glass; avoid dropping it screen-first.
  • Keep away from heat sources and prolonged sun exposure to prevent LCD damage.
  • Do not disassemble or repair the unit yourself.

LCD Screen Maintenance:

  • Do not hit the screen with hard objects.
  • Do not force wipe the screen.
  • Do not use chemical solutions or spray detergent on the screen.
  • Do not write or stick anything on the screen.
  • Wipe with a clean, soft cloth, ensuring no water is on the screen.

Battery Care:

  • Remove the battery from the monitor if not used for a long time.

Troubleshooting:

  • Black and white/monochrome picture: Check saturation, brightness, contrast adjustments, and ensure "Check Field" is not set to monochrome.
  • No image after power on: Check signal cable connection, ensure standard adapter is used (if applicable), and confirm battery is fully charged (if applicable).
  • Earphone no sound: Check if Volume control is open and try increasing the volume.
