Important Safeguards

Parts of the Shredder

Assembly

Position Shredder Head

Place shredder head into top of cabinet and firmly push down to lock into position.

Attach Basket

Push basket into shredder cabinet, aligning edges with cabinet properly.

Operation

Prepare Shredder

Assemble shredder, remove foreign objects, ensure power is off before plugging in.

Start Shredding

Move switch to AUTO, feed paper into entry, do not exceed max run time.

Empty Basket

Check viewer for full basket, pull out and empty contents.

Cool-Down Cycle

Shredder auto-shuts off motor to cool after exceeding max run time.

Clearing a Jam

Use REVERSE to clear jams, then AUTO or OFF.

Maintenance

Oil Cutting Blades

Apply lubricant across blades, run motor in AUTO and REVERSE.

Troubleshooting

Shredder Not Operating

Check power, switch position, jams, cool-down, or assembly.

Loud Squeaking Noise

Cutting blades need regular oiling.

Shredder Stops Suddenly

Check run time or jams.

Reduced Shredding Capacity

Cutting blades need regular oiling.

Red LED Lit

Check assembly or paper jam.
