“Recommended speed setting” below to
determine the correct speed, based on the material
being worked on and the type of accessory being
used. This overview enables you to select both
correct accessory and the optimum speed.
The 6 speeds indication lights (8) are equal to
the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 in the overview
“Recommended speed setting”. Ultimately, the
best way to determine the correct speed for work
on any material is to practice on a piece of scrap.

5. MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning and maintenance, always
switch off the machine and remove the
battery pack from the machine.
Repairs may only be carried out by a qualified
electrician or at a service workshop!
These machines have been designed to operate
over a long period of time with a minimum of
maintenance. Continuous satisfactory operation
depends upon proper machine care and regular
cleaning.
Cleaning
Never use solvents such as petrol, alcohol,
ammonia water, etc. These solvents may damage
the plastic parts.
Do not spray the appliance with water and do
not immerse it in water. Electric shock hazard!
Do not use cleaning agents or solvents.
You may otherwise irreparably damage the
appliance.
Wipe off the warm soldering tip (1) after use on
a damp sponge (12).
Never scrape or file any solder residues off
the soldering tip with hard objects, as this will
damage the soldering tip (1).
ENVIRONMENT
To prevent damage during transport, the appliance
is delivered in a solid packaging which consists
largely of reusable material. Therefore please
make use of options for recycling the packaging.
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol
means that this product shall not be
disposed of with normal household
waste. Electronic and Electrical
Equipment not included in the selective
sorting process are potentially dangerous
for the environment and human health
due to the presence of hazardous
substances. Please dispose of
responsibly at an approved waste or
recycling facility.
