Bleeding the hydraulic unit
With changes in position, e.g. when the device is transported, air might collect
in the hydraulic system.
This may result in the lifting cylinder failing to extend.
In such a case, the hydraulic unit can be bled as follows:
Put the device in operating position.
Open the lowering valve and move the pump pedal with the lowering valve
opened approximately 30 times up and down.
This process will remove any air from the hydraulic system.
Once the valve is closed, the lifting procedure should work again without any
problem.
It might be necessary to repeat this bleeding process once or twice.
