If you observe a change or stoppage in the spray pattern, it indicates an obstruction in the discharge nozzle, potentially due to foreign objects or dewatered mulch. You can clear the sump by backflushing through the discharge plumbing with the water supply hose. Alternatively, remove the drain plug and use a long pole to clear obstructions in the sump area before replacing the drain cap. Using a pipe or pole through the loading hatch opening can also dislodge obstructions.
