Overview

This document describes a bike computer, providing instructions and specifications in German, French, English, Italian, and Polish.

Function Description

The bike computer is designed to track various cycling metrics and provide useful information to the rider. Its core functions include:

  • Speed Measurement: Displays current, average, and maximum travel speed.
  • Time Tracking: Features a 24-hour clock, stopwatch, and travel time measurement.
  • Distance Tracking: Records daily distance and total distance.
  • Calorie and Fat Tracking: Includes a calorie counter and calculates fat burning.
  • Temperature Display: Shows the current temperature, with selectable units (°C/°F) and min/max temperature display.
  • CO² Savings: Calculates CO² savings based on vehicle consumption.
  • Maintenance Reminder: A programmable feature to remind the user about bike maintenance (e.g., chain lubrication, part replacement).
  • Inspection Display: An indicator for scheduled inspections.
  • Backlighting: Provides illumination for the display in low-light conditions.
  • Speed Comparator: Visually indicates if the current speed is above or below the average speed.
  • Automatic On/Off: The computer automatically turns on when activity is detected and switches to standby mode after 1 minute of inactivity to save battery.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Display: Digital display showing various metrics in a segmented format.
  • Units: Selectable units for distance (km/miles), weight (kg/pounds), and temperature (°C/°F).
  • Power Source: Battery-operated.
  • Transmission Frequency: 122.35 kHz.
  • Transmission Output: 1.8 dBm.
  • Adjustability: Adjustable for all wheel sizes, requiring the input of a tyre factor (C) calculated by multiplying 3.14116 by the tyre diameter in millimeters. A table is provided for common tyre sizes and their corresponding factors.
  • Weight Input: Allows input of rider's age and weight (in kg or pounds) for calorie and fat burning calculations.
  • CO² Consumption Input: Allows input of vehicle CO² consumption per 100 km (e.g., Petrol: 23.8, Diesel: 26.5).

Usage Features

Getting Started and Basic Settings: To access the computer's settings mode, insert the battery and press and hold both buttons (A and B) for three seconds. Button B is used to select or adjust settings, while Button A confirms the selection.

  • Unit Selection (km/miles): After entering settings, the first step is to choose between kilometers and miles. The "KM/H" symbol flashes in the top right corner. Press the left button for KPH or the right button followed by the left button for MPH.
  • Tyre Size Regulation: Input the tyre factor (C) by multiplying 3.14116 by the tyre diameter in millimeters. A detailed table is provided with various tyre sizes (e.g., 20", 22", 24", 26", 27", 28" and ATB sizes) and their corresponding distance in millimeters for one revolution.
  • Total Distance Preset: Users can preset the total kilometers already driven, either from an old computer or starting from 0 km.
  • Maintenance Program Setting: Set the maintenance interval (e.g., 600 km). A wrench symbol will blink when the interval is reached. Press Button A to stop the blinking.
  • Age and Weight Input: Enter your age and weight (in kg or pounds) for accurate calorie and fat burning calculations.
  • CO² Value Input: Enter the CO² consumption of your vehicle per KM (e.g., Petrol: 23.8 per 100 km, Diesel: 26.5 per 100 km).
  • Clock Setting: In clock mode, use Button B to select hours/minutes and Button A to confirm.

Computer Functions (Accessed by pressing Button B to switch modes, and Button A for sub-functions):

  • Clock (CLK): Press and hold Button A for 3 seconds to enter time adjustment mode.
  • Total Distance (TOT DST): Press and hold Button A for 3 seconds to open settings for correcting previously entered data.
  • Trip Distance (DST): Press and hold Button A for 3 seconds to reset trip distance, timer, and average speed.
  • Maximum Speed (MXSPD): Press and hold Button A for 3 seconds to reset the maximum speed.
  • Average Speed (AV SPD): Press and hold Button A for 5 seconds to reset the average speed.
  • Trip Timer Data (TM): Press and hold Button A for 3 seconds to reset trip time data.
  • Temperature (TEP): Select °C or °F. Hold Button A for 5 seconds to switch units. In temperature mode, press Button A to switch between minimum and maximum temperature display.
