OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Before rst use
Remove all labels, sckers and tags, except
for the technical informaon label.
Clean the appliance according to
the direcons in the “Cleaning and
maintenance” secon.
Do not submerge the appliance in water
and do not pour water directly onto the
appliance.
For best results, lightly grease the nonsck
plates with a lile cooking oil.
Warning: do not use this product to cook
or defrost frozen foods. All foods should be
completely defrosted before cooking them
with this product.
Note - during the rst minutes of operaon
(on the rst use only), the appliance may
produce some smoke that will disappear
right away. This is normal and does not
aect the safety or operaon of the
appliance.
Use
Fully unwind the power cable.
Place the appliance on a at and horizontal
surface, such that the power cable is not
stretched out.
Lightly grease the nonsck plates with
cooking oil.
Plug the power cable into the electrical
socket. If using an extension cable, make
sure it is grounded. The power indicator light
will turn on, indicang that the appliance is
connected to the electrical current.
Rotate the thermostat control knob
between the Min and Max posion,
depending on the food to be cooked. The
operang indicator light will turn on.
Unlock the plates by moving the lock/
elevaon lever to the unlocked posion.
Warning: the nonsck plates and appliance
surfaces can heat up during appliance
operaon. To prevent the risk of burns, only
touch the appliance by its handle.
Allow the nonsck plates to preheat for 5
to 7 minutes. The operang indicator light
will turn o, indicang that the appliance is
ready to cook.
Use the handle to li the upper plate.
Place the foods on the lower plate using,
if necessary, a wooden or heat-resistant
plasc utensil.
Warning: do not use metal utensils on the
nonsck plates, as this may irreparably
damage the nonsck coang.
Use the handle to lower the upper nonsck
plate.
Note - the operang indicator light may
turn on and o during cooking, which is
normal and does not aect the operaon
of the appliance.
