camera. Please do not disassemble the camera.

This document describes the FLIR ME323 SERIES 1MP Fixed Dome Camera, a security device designed for surveillance applications.

Function Description:

The FLIR ME323 SERIES camera is a 1MP fixed dome camera intended for security and surveillance. It is designed to capture video footage and can be connected to an MPX DVR for 1080p viewing and recording. The camera requires a 12V DC power adapter (not included) for operation and a REGULATED 12V DC power supply to prevent damage and voiding the warranty. The camera's installation involves mounting it to a surface, connecting video and power cables, and adjusting the camera's position for optimal viewing.

• Note on Power Connection: Camera focus may be affected if the power connection is too long. It is recommended not to extend the power connection past 200ft (61m).
• Note on Long Cable Runs: Long cable runs over 1000ft (300m) may be affected by electro-mechanical interference (EMI), which can increase the amount of noise in the picture in some installations.

Usage Features:

• Pre-Installation Testing: It is recommended to test the camera by temporarily connecting it to the DVR before selecting a permanent mounting location.
• Mounting: The camera is mounted using included screws and drywall anchors (if applicable). A mounting template is provided to mark drill holes.
• Cable Management: The camera cable is fed through the camera base during installation.
• Adjustable Positioning: The ball camera can be moved to the desired position after the base is secured, allowing for flexible viewing angles. The dome cover is then tightened to secure the camera's position.
• Security Screw: An included Allen key is used to loosen and tighten a security screw on the dome cover, which helps secure the camera's position and prevent tampering.
• Single Extension Cable Rule: The entire length of the cable run must be made using a single extension cable between the camera and the DVR.
• Online Support: FLIR provides online resources including software and complete instruction manuals, accessible by searching the model number on their website.

Maintenance Features:

• No User Serviceable Parts: The camera contains no user serviceable parts and should not be disassembled.
• Lens Cleaning: The lens cover should be cleaned with a soft cloth. Abrasive cleaning materials should not be used.
• Safety Precautions:
