Suction Fan
—————
Replace fan blades when worn, sharp, or thin. Always follow the instructions provided with each set of
blades.
1. Remove old blades and clean all mating surfaces thoroughly.
2. Use only the new hardware provided with the replacement blades.
3. Torque the nuts to 40-ft. Lbs.
4. Use only Flory manufactured replacement blades.
Note: In order to achieve maximum fan housing life, inspect the liners periodically. If replacement is needed, a
good time to replace the liners is after removing the worn blades, but prior to installing new blades.
Do not use a cutting torch to remove old blades. Improper use of torch may cause the hub
assembly to become out of balance.
ATTENTION: It is very important to install the same type of blades on the fan that were removed from the
fan in order to maintain the balance of the fan assembly. If another type of blade is used, (either lighter or
heavier) the fan assembly may need to be re-balanced to avoid vibration.
Drive Chains
—————
All drive chains are adjusted by means of a moveable idler. Lubricate roller chains daily with a good quality
chain lube such as that available from Flory Industries, part number 227 in an aerosol can.
Wheels
—————
1. Tighten lug nuts after 10 hours of operation. Check lug nuts every season or after 200 hours of operation.
2. Pack wheel bearings with grease once every season.
Nut Seals
—————
Inspect all nut seals regularly and adjust or replace as needed to avoid losing nuts back onto the ground.
