How to troubleshoot Flotec FPPM3600D motor that will not run?
    • B
      Brendan RoseJul 26, 2025
If your Flotec Power Pump motor won't run, start by checking the fuse, circuit breaker, power cord, and electrical outlet to ensure they are functioning correctly. If the pump has been running and stops before the sump is empty, the automatic overload may have tripped. Inspect the inlet screen to ensure the impeller isn't jammed; if it is, carefully remove any obstructions. Also, examine the power cord, automatic switch, and motor for any electrical malfunctions, replacing faulty parts as necessary.

What to do if Flotec FPPM3600D motor runs but doesn't pump water?
    • T
      Todd HillAug 3, 2025
If your Flotec Power Pump motor is running but not pumping water, the inlet might be clogged. Inspect and clean it if necessary. Also, the discharge line could be blocked; clear any obstructions and check the valve. If low line voltage is the issue, consult the corrective actions for low line voltage. In case of airlock, drill a 1/8” (3.2mm) hole in the discharge pipe just above the pump body but below the check valve. If the impeller or shaft is broken, replace them as needed.

Why does my Flotec Power Pump start and stop too often?
    • S
      Samantha WilliamsAug 11, 2025
If your Flotec Power Pump starts and stops too often, the float rod stop may be improperly positioned. Try lowering the float rod stop. Also, the automatic switch might be faulty and require replacement.

What to do if my Flotec Power Pump will not stop running?
    • R
      Robert BairdAug 18, 2025
If your Flotec Power Pump will not stop running, there might be debris around the float or the float rod is stuck. Remove any debris from the sump. Also, check to see that the float isn't rubbing against the sump wall and that the float rod isn't rubbing or stuck against the sump cover. If these steps don't solve the issue, the switch may be faulty and need to be replaced, or the motor might be defective, requiring pump replacement.
