Operational problems
The subwoofer works but cuts out on
loud peaks
- Too high a level.
Focal-JMlab subwoofers are equipped
with electronic protection that will
cut the amplifier in case of overload
generally caused by too high a
short-term peak level. In this case
check that the balance between the
main speakers and the subwoofer is
not set too high.
-
Input overload
Overload of the input stages can occur
if the output level from an adjustable
output level amplifier or processor is
too high - particularly in some top-of-
the-range processor/amplifiers. In this
case, reduce the level of the subwoofer
output, and compensate by increasing
the subwoofer volume level.
The fuse blows repeatedly
Check the fuse value.
Caution: When changing from 230V
to 115V, the fuse value must be
changed. See the inscription on the
amplifier panel.
