Why is air re-entering the bag after vacuuming with my FoodSaver Kitchen Appliance?
- JjwarrenJul 27, 2025
Air may re-enter the bag after vacuuming due to several reasons: * A wrinkle along the seal might be the cause. To prevent this, gently stretch the bag flat while inserting it into the vacuum channel. * Moisture or food material along the seal may prevent proper sealing. Cut the bag open, wipe the top inside, and re-seal. * Sharp food items may have punctured the bag. Use a new bag or cover sharp items with a soft cushioning material before re-sealing. * Fermentation or the release of natural gases from the food may have occurred, indicating spoilage. Discard the food if this is the case.
