Air may return to the bag after vacuuming due to several reasons: * There might be a wrinkle in the bag along the seal. * Moisture or food residue along the seal. * Sharp-edged food items may have punctured the bag. * Fermentation or the release of natural gases from the food.

How to fix FoodSaver when air is not removed from bag?
    • C
      Cassandra MillerAug 1, 2025
If air is not being removed from the bag, make sure the open end of the bag is entirely inside the vacuum channel. Check the bag for leaks by sealing it with some air inside, submerging it in water, and applying pressure. If using a custom-sized FoodSaver Bag, check the seal. Also, do not attempt to create your own side seams for the bags.
