C2 CHECK THE WIPER SWITCH OUTPUTS
Monitor the PID WPMODE while turning the wiper switch through all the switch positions.
 Does the PID WPMODE value agree with all the wiper switch positions?
Yes
GO to C8.
No
GO to C3.
C3 CHECK THE WIPER/WASHER SWITCH
Multifunction Switch C259
Check the wiper/washer switch (multifunction switch) for proper operation; refer to Wiring
Diagrams, Cell 149, Component Test.
 Is the multifunction switch OK?
Yes
GO to C4.
No
REPLACE the multifunction switch; REFER to Section 211-05. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the
system for normal operation.
C4 CHECK CIRCUIT 680 (LB/O) FOR OPEN
GEM C239
Measure the resistance between GEM C239-13, Circuit 680 (LB/O) and multifunction switch
C259-590, Circuit 680 (LB/O).
 Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to C5.
No
REPAIR Circuit 680 (LB/O). CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
C5 CHECK CIRCUIT 684 (PK/Y) FOR OPEN
Measure the resistance between GEM C239-22, Circuit 684 (PK/Y) and multifunction switch
C259-685, Circuit 684 (PK/Y).
