Measure the resistance between rear wiper motor C447, Circuit 57 (BK) and ground.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to H6.
No
REPAIR Circuit 57 (BK). CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
H6 CHECK REAR WIPER MOTOR SWITCH FOR OPEN
Connect a jumper wire between rear wiper motor C447, Circuit 587 (P/Y) and C447, Circuit
57 (BK).
Monitor the PID R_WP_PK.
Does the PID R_WP_PK indicate PARKED?
Yes
REPLACE the rear wiper motor; REFER to Motor—Rear Wiper. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the
system for normal operation.
No
GO to H7.
H7 CHECK CIRCUIT 587 (P/Y) FOR OPEN
Measure the resistance between rear wiper motor C447, Circuit 587 (P/Y) and GEM C240-7,
Circuit 587 (P/Y).
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
REPLACE the GEM; REFER to Section 419-10. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for
normal operation.
No
REPAIR Circuit 587 (P/Y). CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
