Wiper Self-Test
 Are any DTCs recorded?
Yes
If DTC B1431, GO to A12 .
If DTC B1432, GO to A12 .
If DTC B1438, GO to A5 .
If DTC B1441, GO to A5 .
If DTC B1450, GO to A5 .
If DTC B1453, GO to A5 .
If DTC B1840, GO to A4 .
If DTC B1342, REPLACE the GEM; REFER to Section 419-10. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the
system for normal operation.
No
GO to A5.
A4 CHECK THE VOLTAGE TO THE WIPER/WASHER SYSTEM RELAYS
Wiper HI/LO Relay
Wiper Run/Park Relay
Measure the voltage between wiper HI/LO relay connector Pin 1, Circuit 950 (W/BK) and
ground, and between wiper run/park relay connector Pin 1, Circuit 950 (W/BK) and ground.
 Are the voltages greater than 10 volts?
Yes
RECONNECT the relays. GO to
A5 .
