INSTALLATION
1. Open the hood. Be sure that the hood is clean and dry inside and out.
2. Install the two (2) small bumpons as shown in Figure #2.
3. Centre the deflector on the hood; determine where the deflector will mount. Using the side cutters, remove and discard the four hood
seal clips that correspond with the holes in the deflector tab.
4. Insert the deflector mounting tab in between the hood and the hood seal.
5. Center the deflector on the hood. Insert an expansion plug through the holes in the hood seal, the deflector and into the holes in the
hood. Be sure that the expansion plugs and deflector are all well seated into the hood then tighten a screw into each expansion plug.
See Figure #1.
6. Underneath each of the ‘E’ clips, fold an anti-abrasion film pad in half over the leading edge of the hood to cover at least ½” (12mm)
underneath the hood.
7. Attach the ‘E’ clips to the hood by gently pulling the deflector wings towards the leading edge of the hood until they slide over and clip
onto the hood edge. It may be necessary to tap on the clips to fully seat them against the hood.
8. Install the four (4) large bumpons as shown in Figure #2. Attention: The bumpons must be installed on the hood, not on the
deflector!!! If the bumpons are installed on the deflector, they will wear through the paint.
9. On some vehicles it may be necessary to adjust the hood bumpers and/or latch for proper clearance.
Note: Do not pull on the deflector when closing or opening the hood.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Clean the deflector with a mild soap and water solution or plastic cleaner only. Do not use chemicals or solvents. Periodically
check to make sure the bumpons are in place and the deflector is secure. Avoid using automatic car washes. Do not pull on the
deflector when opening or closing the hood.
