Attention D2424 and D2424LV customers
*** Important Notice ***
As per Fostex lab level test, the following hard disc models are usable with
D2424 and D2424LV. (Ref: http://fostex.com/index.php?file=support/medialist)
Western Digital
WD600JB, WD800JB and WD1000JB.
However, we recently discovered some WDxxxJB series do not work with the
recorder depending on the drive manufacturing date. Please, therefore, be very
careful when you make a purchase yourself.
What is the difference?
Pic 1.
The PC board attached on the drive has the
shape like in the pic 1, it works OK with the
recorder.
Pic 2.
The PC board attached on the drive has the
shape like in the pic 2, it will NOT work with the
recorder.
