Usage Features

The stirrer is controlled via two main knobs and a power switch.

  • Knob for Time Setting (1): Used to set the desired stirring duration by rotating. Pressing this knob starts or stops the timing function. The timer display (3) shows the remaining stirring time or "OFF" when the timer is inactive.
  • Knob for Speed Setting (2): Used to set the stirring speed by rotating. Pressing this knob starts or stops the stirring function. The speed display (4) simultaneously shows the target and actual stirring speed or "OFF" when stirring is stopped.
  • Setting Indicator (5): A light that flashes when adjusting either the timer or speed settings, providing visual feedback.
  • Power Switch (6): Turns the device on or off.

Trial Run Procedure:

  1. Verify that the required voltage matches the mains voltage and that the socket is properly grounded.
  2. Switch on the device and allow it to initialize.
  3. Add the sample to a container with an appropriate stirring bar.
  4. Place the container on the working plate.
  5. Set the target speed using the speed knob and start stirring.
  6. Observe the stirring bar and the LED display for proper operation.
  7. Set the desired time using the time knob and start timing.
  8. Observe the actual speed and timing on the LED display. The LED will show the remaining stirring time when the timer function is active.
  9. The timer function can be switched on/off by pressing the timer setting knob.

Timing Function: The timing function is exclusively for the stirring period and is active only when the stirring function is ON. The LED displays the remaining stirring time. Once the timer reaches zero, the stirring function automatically shuts down. If the timing function is off or manually stopped midway, the device will continue stirring indefinitely.

Stirring Function: Stirring is initiated or stopped by pressing the speed setting knob. The speed can be adjusted by rotating the knob within a range of 50-1500 rpm. Upon powering on, the device displays the last set speed from the previous operation.

Safety Instructions:

  • Always read the operating instructions thoroughly before use and follow all safety guidelines.
  • Ensure only trained personnel operate the device.
  • The socket must be earthed.
  • Be aware of magnetism effects on data storage media or cardiac pacemakers.
  • Wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the media being processed to prevent splashing, liquid evaporation, ejection of parts, or release of toxic/combustible gases.
  • Set up the device on a stable, clean, non-slip, dry, and fireproof surface in a spacious area.
  • Do not use damaged components.
  • Gradually increase/decrease speed to avoid splashing, unstable machine operation, or container movement on the heating plate.
  • Beware of hazards such as glass breakage, incorrect container use, overfilling, or unsafe container conditions.
  • Do not use the machine in explosive atmospheres or with hazardous substances.
  • Process pathogenic materials only in closed containers under a suitable extractor hood.
  • Only process media that do not react dangerously to additional energy sources (e.g., light irradiation).
  • Accessories must be securely attached.
  • Always disconnect the plug before fitting accessories.
  • Disconnect from mains by pulling the plug.
  • When using PTFE-coated magnetic bars, note their chemical reactions with molten/solute alkali metals, alkaline earth metals, and fine metal powders at temperatures above 300-400°C. Only elementary fluorine, chlorotrifluoride, and alkali metals attack PTFE; halogenated hydrocarbons cause reversible swelling.
  • Ensure the device's voltage matches the mains voltage.
  • Do not cover the machine, even partially, to prevent overheating.
  • Keep the working plate clean.
  • Protect the machine and accessories from bumps.
  • Maintain a minimum distance of 100mm between machines and between the machine and walls.
  • Warning: Do not move the container while the device is working.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance is crucial for extending the device's lifespan and ensuring optimal performance.

  • Cleaning: Do not allow moisture to enter the device during cleaning. Always disconnect the main plug before cleaning. Wear protective gloves. Only use recommended cleansing agents.
  • Inspection: Upon unpacking, carefully check for any transit damages. If damage is apparent, do not connect the power line and contact the manufacturer/supplier for technical support.
  • Troubleshooting (Faults):
    • Device not powering on: Check power line connection and fuse (broken or loose).
    • Fault in power-on self-test: Power off and restart the device.
    • Actual speed not reaching set value: High viscosity media may cause abnormal speed reduction of the motor; consider reducing the sample volume.
  • Error Codes:
    • Er5 (Motor failure): Reduce the sample volume.
    • If the instrument continues to malfunction, contact the manufacturer/supplier for technical support.

Warranty

The instrument comes with a 24-month warranty from the invoice date, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service. This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser and does not cover worn-out parts, damage from improper use, insufficient care, or maintenance not performed according to the operating manual. For warranty claims, contact your local supplier or send the instrument directly to the manufacturer with an invoice copy and a detailed reason for the claim.
