Check the saw blade brake time, and if it is longer than 10 seconds take the machine to an
after sales service.
Check the noise of the engine and the consumption of the carbon brushes periodically.
Check that the supply cable is not damaged.
Check the play of the gears and if is it excessive get them replaced by an after sales centre.
CHECK AND REPLACEMENT OF THE CARBON BRUSHES
8. Disconnect the machine from the power supply.
9. Turn the machine upside-down on paperboard.
10. Remove the bottom plate by unfastening the four screws.
11. Unscrew the covers of the engine carbon brushes with a suitable screwdriver. One
of the carbon brushes is located on the opposite side of the engine.
12. Remove the worn carbon nrushes. Each carbon brush must not be less than 6 mm.
13. Insert the new carbon brushes in their housing. The two tabs of the upper metal side
of the carbon brush must be placed in the guide of the housing.
14. Screw the cover of the carbon brushes and check the functioning of the engine.
The saw does not start:
- The electric current is missing in the socket to which the supply cable is connected.
- The supply cable is faulty
- The engine is damaged or the carbon brushes must be replaced
Machine vibrations:
- The inclination lock handle is not correctly tightened
- The blade is not correctly fixed
Wood darkens while cutting:
- The tool is not correctly sharpened
- The tool has been assembled back-to-front
The tools wear rapidly:
- The tool is not correctly sharpened
- The wood is dirty (cement, sand, etc.)
The engine does not work properly:
(excessive heating, exaggerate twinkle of the carbon brushes and consequent noise
accentuation)
- The engine may be damaged: get the machine checked by an electrician
- Carbon brushes must be replaced
Blade stops rotating:
- Surcharge (the speed is too high, the tool is not sharpened)
The blade rejects the wood:
- The rip fence is not parallel
- The riving knife is not aligned correctly
Other:
- The bearings make noise: get them changed
- Check belt tension
