This document provides operating instructions and safety information for a handheld walkie-talkie. It covers various aspects from installation and basic operation to advanced features, troubleshooting, and regulatory compliance.
Function Description:
The device is a handheld walkie-talkie designed for two-way radio communication. It allows users to transmit and receive voice messages over a specified range. Key functions include channel selection, volume adjustment, key lock, torchlight, auto scan, monitor (zero squelch), CTCSS/DCS for private communication, VOX for voice-activated transmission, call tones, time-out timer (TOT), Roger Beep, key tone, and dual channel monitoring (DCM). The device is intended for general use, with specific warnings and guidelines for safe operation in various environments, including near medical devices, in vehicles, and in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Important Technical Specifications:
- Channels: The walkie-talkie operates on a set of predefined channels with specific frequencies. The manual lists 22 channels with frequencies ranging from 462.5500 MHz to 467.7125 MHz.
- CTCSS/DCS: Supports 38 CTCSS codes and 83 DCS codes for sub-channel communication, enhancing privacy and reducing interference.
- VOX Levels: Adjustable voice-activated transmission with 3 levels (1 to 3) or OFF.
- Call Tones: 10 mode call tones (01-10) are available.
- Time Out Timer (TOT): Configurable to 30 or 60 seconds, or OFF, to prevent continuous transmission.
