Sewing
light
The
sewing
light
is
placed
inside
the
face
cover
plate
as
shown,
and
illuminates
the
sewing
area only.
lt
may
be turned on
or off by
pushing
light
switch, which
is
located
on
the
back of face cover.

FROM
MAINS
SUPPLY
BEFORE
CHANGING
BU LB".
To
change bulb,
open
the face
cover
plate
by
swinging it
towards
left,
twist old
bulb away
from
you
and
remove. Then
insert
new
bulb.
Placement
of
needle
Raise needle
bar to
its
highest
position
by turning handwheel toward
you.
Loosen
needle clamp screw.
Hold
needle
so
that the
flat
side is
away
from
you,
slip blunt
end of needle as
far
as it
will
go
into needle clamp.
Tighten
clamp
screw.

The wires
in
this
mains
lead
are
coloured
in accordance
with
the
following
code:
Green
-
and
-
yellow:
Earth.
Blue:
Brown:
Neutral.
Live.
As the
colours
of
the
wires in the
mains lead
of
this
appliance may
not correspond
with the
coloured
markings
identifying the
terminals
in
your
plug,
proceed
as
follows:
The wire
which
is coloured
green
-
and
-
yellow
must be
connected
to
the
terminal
in the
plug
which is
marked with
the
letter E
or by the
earth symbol 4 or
coloured
green
or
green
-
and
-
yellow.
The
wire which
is
coloured
blue
must
be
connected to the terminal
which
is marked
with the
letter N
or
coloured black.
The wire
which
is coloured brown
must
be
connected
to
the terminal
which
is marked
with
the
letter L
or
coloured
red.
Needle and thread table
Use System
705 needles. The size of
the needle should conform to the size
of the thread and both should be
suitable
to the
material. The
same
size thread should be
used
in
the
bobbin
as on the upper
part
of the
machine
for ordinary sewing.

shank
and
stretch
stitch
needles with blue
shank.
