Although not required, the following optional installations for your Frog can be useful additions.
OPTIONAL 1: Install Mudguards

OPTIONAL 2: Install Full Chain Guard
• The full chain guard is useful in preventing long or loose clothing (pants, dresses, coats, etc.) from
being caught by the chain ring. H
owever, the partial chain guard (preinstalled on Frogs) does a
reasonable job of protecting against the chain ring already. The full chain guard does not prevent
the chain from dropping (i.e., coming off the chain ring), which is rare on these bikes anyways.
• If you would like to install the full chain guard, we do advise visiting a local bike shop for
installation, as you must remove the drive side crank arm (which r

If your child is regularly riding in wet conditions, the Frog Mudguards can be a great addition to
your child's bike. They protect both the rider and the bike from being sprayed with muddy water
while out riding. Installing the mudguards on your Frog is optional. We find that most of our U.S.
customers choose not to install the mudguards, preferring a less cluttered aesthetic and lighter
overall bike to the benefit the mudguards provide.
