Maintenance Instructions
WARNING:
Beforecleaningorcarryingoutanymaintenanceonyourtreadmill,ensurethepoweristurnedoffandthepowercordremovedfromtheplug
socket.Atleastonceayear,themotorcoveronyourtreadmillshouldberemovedandanydustordebrisvacuumeduptomaintainthesmooth
operation of the motor and drive system
CLEANING:
Generalcleaningtheunitwillgreatlyprolongthetreadmillsworkinglife.
Keepthetreadmillcleanbydustingregularly.Besuretocleantheexposedpartsofthedecksurfaceonbothsideofthewalkingbeltandalso
thesiderails.Makesurethesolesofyourshoesareclean,thisreducesthebuildupofforeignmaterialunderneaththerunningbelt.Thetopof
thebeltcanbecleanedwithaslightlydampcloth.Becarefultokeepliquidawayfromtheelectricalcomponentsandunderneaththerunning
belt.
Thebelt/deckfrictionmayplayamajorroleinthefunctionandlifeofyourtreadmill,thusrequiringperiodiclubrication.Werecommenda
periodicinspectionofthedeck.
Werecommendlubricationofthedeckaccordingtothefollowingtimetable:
- Lightuser(lessthan3hours/week)annually
- Mediumuser(3-5hours/week)everysixmonths
- Heavyuser(morethan5hours/week)everythreemonths
Treadmill lubricating oil can be purchased from your nearest Fitness store or our Service Department.
1. Inordertomaintainandprolongtheworkinglifeofyourtreadmill,wesuggestyoupoweroffthetreadmillfor10minutesafterevery2
hours of running use.
2. A loose running belt may slip when you are running and may require a small adjustment; if the running belt is over tightened it can
affecttheperformanceofthemotorandaddextraweartotherollers.Foridealtension,therunningbeltcanbelifted50-75mmfrom
thecentralpartoftherunningdeck.
BELT ADJUSTMENT:
- Place treadmill on a level surface.
-Runthetreadmillat6-8km/h.
-Ifthebelthasdriftedtotheright,turntherightboltclockwisea1/2turnandturntheleftboltanticlockwisea1/2turn(PictureD)
-Ifthebelthasdriftedtotheleft,turntherightboltanticlockwisea1/2turnandturntheleftboltclockwisea1/2turn(PictureD)
-Testforatleast15secondsat4km/h(checkandadjustafurther
quarter or half turn until the belt is centered.
NOTE:Therunningbeltshouldnotbetightenedtoohardasthiscan
cause noise and damage the machine.
STORAGE:
Remember to store the treadmill in a dry place and not to pile things on top of IT.
