Usage Features
Before Starting:
- Unpack the contents and remove foam separators.
- Inspect for any signs of paint scratches, dents, or bent cables from shipping.
- Ensure the kill switch is in the "OFF" position before performing any maintenance.
- Estimated installation time is 15 minutes for an adult, requiring a spark plug socket, 8-10mm wrench, and 5mm Allen wrench.
Preparing for Use:
- Inspection: Check all bolts, nuts, brakes, and the engine.
- Refueling: Use a 50:1 mixture of gasoline and two-stroke engine oil (JASO FC). Mix thoroughly for at least 30 seconds. Do not use mixture oil older than 1 month. The manual specifies "90# gasoline," which typically refers to 90 octane gasoline.
- Air Filter: Clean the air filter regularly. A dirty filter can reduce engine power. Clean with gasoline, dip in oil, wring out excess oil, and reinstall.
- Before Riding:
- Ensure all exposed bolts and screws are tightened.
- Raise the kickstand to its upright position.
- For the first ride, wait 3-5 minutes after pulling the pull start to allow the engine to warm up.
- Ensure the engine is running.
- Place one foot on the deck, push off with the other, and gently rotate the throttle on the right handlebar.
- Control speed using the hand throttle.
Starting the Dirt Bike:
- Fill the fuel tank to at least two-thirds of its total capacity with the recommended fuel grade.
- Depress the vent valve to release any residual air from the fuel line until no air bubbles are visible (3-5 times).
- Confirm the kill switch is in the "ON" position.
- Shift the choke lever to the "OFF/Cold Start" position.
- Slowly pull the pull start to its maximum length three times to establish proper pull length. Then, pull the pull start rapidly until the engine roars. The bike will automatically shut off.
- Return the choke lever to the "ON/Warm Start" position and pull the pull start again.
- If the engine stalls, repeat steps 4-5 until it starts.
- Allow the engine to idle for 2-3 minutes to reach optimal operating temperature.
- Important Note: Avoid prolonged operation under heavy load to prevent overheating. Park the vehicle and allow it to cool for at least 15 minutes before attempting to restart. Rapidly pulling the starter handle can prevent damage. Avoid continuous maximum throttle during vehicle startup to prevent hindering the starting process.
Operation:
- The bike is packaged in a cardboard carton.
- The proper oil mix ratio is crucial; incorrect ratios can cause engine damage.
- This bike is not suitable for public road use and does not comply with reasonable safety standards.
- Always wear a safety helmet, goggles, gloves, elbow pads, knee pads, and athletic footwear.
- Avoid uneven surfaces and obstacles. Drive with two hands on the handlebars.
Braking:
- To brake, release the hand throttle and depress the hand brake levers (on the left and right handlebars).
- Gradually decrease engine speed to idle and turn off the kill switch.
- The disc/caliper braking system is activated by the hand brake lever. Squeezing the left hand lever activates the rear brake.
- Practice braking on smooth, dry surfaces. Braking performance is affected by wet conditions and loose/uneven surfaces.
Stopping:
- In an emergency, stop by pulling down the switch on the throttle handle.
- In normal situations, reduce gasoline engine to the lowest speed and run for 3-5 minutes.
- Pull down the stop switch to stop the engine.
Adjustments:
- Carburetor Adjustment: Never start the engine without the complete clutch cover assembled. Carburetor is factory-adjusted but may require occasional adjustment based on climate and altitude. Do not move the motorcycle when the engine is idling unless instructed by a service center.
- Brake Adjustment: Brakes are factory-adjusted. To adjust, depress the brake caliper with your thumb and forefinger. Turn the tension screw clockwise to loosen the brake or counterclockwise to tighten it. Squeaky brakes indicate wear and may affect performance; they should be addressed.
- Chain Adjustment: Chains are factory-adjusted. Adjust sprockets if necessary to prevent rubbing or chafing. To adjust, slightly loosen the two axle bolts on both sides of the rear wheel, then slowly adjust the two chains. Rotate the rear wheel to ensure alignment. Finally, lock and tighten the rear axle bolts.
Maintenance Features
Daily Maintenance:
- Perform each time you ride the motorcycle.
- Check fuel leakage or air leakage.
- Check that all nuts and bolts are securely tightened.
Weekly/Monthly Maintenance:
- Check the pull starter, cord, and return spring.
- Remove the spark plug and check the electrode gap. Adjust to 0.6mm or change the spark plug.
- Clean the cooling fins on the cylinder head and check the air intake for blockages.
- Clean the air filter.
Storage:
- If the bike is not used for a long time, it must be maintained as follows:
- Remove fuel from the tank and carburetor, close the choke, and draw the starter 3-5 times.
- Take down the spark plug, add certain engine oil into the spark plug hole, and draw the starter 2-3 times to move the piston to the top dead center, then install the spark plug.
- Use a soft cloth with engine oil to clean the engine surface, smear wax on the frame, and put the engine in a dry and windy place.
Troubleshooting:
- Fail to start:
- Gasoline mixed with water (replace fuel).
- Spark plug accumulated carbon or broken.
- Poor contact of high-voltage wire with spark plug.
- Engine starts but doesn't run speedily:
- Choke is open totally or not.
- Incorrect engine oil and gasoline ratio.
- Water in the gasoline.
- Engine runs but has insufficient power:
- Air filter blocked by dust.
- Cylinder exhaust and muffler blocked by accumulated carbon.
- Piston, piston rings, and cylinder badly worn.
- Fuel strainer blocked by dust.
- Oil or air leakage from body or top of shaft.
- Engine stops suddenly when running:
- Run out of gasoline.
- High-voltage wire drops.
- Spark plug accumulated carbon or broken.
- Fuel strainer blocked by dust.
- Water in the gasoline.
- Air hole of tank lid blocked by dust.
- Cannot stop the engine:
- Stopping wire of the switch is an open circuit.
