ke any precision instrument, it

it is cared for properly.
Always keep it in its soft leather pouch
wben it's not in u se. Keep the lens
capped and the shutter uncocked. Be
careful not to bang it or drop it while
you ' re carrying it. In other words, treat
it as you might a fine watch ... meant to
be u sed continuously, but abused .. .

Cl ean the fron t and rear of the le ns
infrequ e ntly... abo ut once ev ery three
months. A d rop of lens cleanin g fluid
will
loosen dirt an d dust. Wi pe the lens
g ently with a lens tissu e u ntil it is dry.
NEVER use a solve nt on th e le ns.
NEVER wipe the lens wit h facial tissue
which leaves a depos it of lint, or with a
handkerchief wbich may d amage the har d
che . mical coating .
RE MOYE F ING ERP RINTS IIIIIIIIEDIA T ElY. They are
acid... and, if not removed, will etch
themselves i nto the coating of the lens.
Use lens fluid and lens tissues to remove
them.
If you use the camera constantly, it is
advisable to clean the inside once a week.
Blow out large du st particles with an ea r
syringe. Then, get into the corners with
a lens tissue wrap p ed arou nd a toothpick.
NEV ER u se a nything metallic that
might scratch the insides.
