Overview

This document is an Owner's Manual and Installation Manual for FUJIDENZO portable air conditioners, specifically models PAC-100AIG and PAC-150AIG. It provides comprehensive instructions for safe operation, installation, and maintenance of the unit.

Function Description:

The FUJIDENZO portable air conditioner is designed to provide cooling, heating (on some models), dehumidification (DRY mode), and fan-only operation. It is a portable unit with wheels for easy movement. The unit can be controlled via its control panel or a remote controller (sold separately). It features an exhaust hose system for expelling hot air during cooling and heating (heat pump type) modes. The unit is equipped with various sensors to monitor room, evaporator, and condenser temperatures, as well as a bottom tray water level sensor.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Models: PAC-100AIG, PAC-150AIG
  • Refrigerant: Information on fluorinated greenhouse gases (if applicable) is provided, noting that installation, service, maintenance, and recycling must be performed by a certified technician. Units using R290 refrigerant are excluded from fluorinated gas notes.
  • Fuse Specifications: The unit's circuit board (PCB) includes a fuse for overcurrent protection, with specifications like T 3.15A/250V.
  • Power Supply: Requires a properly grounded wall receptacle with appropriate voltage.
  • Ambient Temperature Range for Unit Operating:
    • Cool Mode: 17-35°C (62-95°F)
    • Dry Mode: 13-35°C (55-95°F)
    • Heat (pump heat mode): 5-30°C (41-86°F)
    • Heat (electrical heat mode): ≤ 30°C (86°F)
  • Exhaust Duct: Standard installation uses an un-extended exhaust duct without a window slider adaptor. Some models may support a 3-meter extended exhaust duct using two ducts (Diameter: 150mm, Length: 1.5m + Diameter: 130mm, Length: 1.5m).
  • Clearance: Minimum 30cm (12") from the nearest wall for proper air conditioning. Horizontal louver blade should be at least 50cm (19.7") away from obstacles.
  • Noise and Energy Rating: Based on standard installation with un-extended exhaust duct, operating in COOL MODE and HIGH FAN SPEED.
  • Cooling Capacity (SACC): Seasonally Adjusted Cooling Capacity, in Btu/h, determined by DOE test procedures.
  • Impedance Information (for specific models):
    • MPPH-08CRN7-QB6: System impedance |Zsys|=0.451 ohms or less.
    • MPPH-09CRN7-QB6G1: System impedance |Zsys|=0.437 ohms or less.

Usage Features:

  • Control Panel: Features a MODE button (Cool, Fan, Dry, Heat, Auto), Up (+) and Down (-) buttons for temperature adjustment, and a Power button.
  • LED Display: Shows set temperature, room temperature (in Dry/Fan modes), error codes (E0-E4, EC), and protection codes (P1).
  • Operating Modes:
    • COOL: Adjust temperature (17-30°C / 62-88°F) and fan speed.
    • DRY: Dehumidifying mode, fan operates at LOW speed, temperature/fan speed not adjustable. Exhaust duct should not be used.
    • FAN: Fan-only operation, fan speed adjustable via remote, temperature not adjustable. Exhaust duct should not be used.
    • HEAT (on some models): Adjust temperature (17-30°C / 62-88°F) and fan speed.
    • AUTO (on some models): Automatically selects cooling, heating, or fan-only based on set and room temperatures. Fan speed not adjustable.
  • Temperature Adjustment: 1°C/2°F increments within 17-30°C (62-88°F or 86°F). Can switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit by holding Up and Down buttons for 3 seconds.
  • Wireless Operation (on some models): Initiated by pressing the mode button for 3 seconds when the unit is off. LED displays 'AP' for connection mode. Wireless indicator illuminates upon successful connection. Can be turned off/on by pressing MODE and DOWN (-) or MODE and UP (+) buttons for 3 seconds.
  • SLEEP/ECO Operation (remote control ONLY): Gradually adjusts set temperature over 60 minutes, then maintains it for 7 hours. Unavailable in FAN or DRY mode.
  • FOLLOW ME/TEMP SENSING (on some models, remote control ONLY): Remote control acts as a remote thermostat for precise temperature control.
  • AUTO-RESTART: Unit restarts with previous settings after a power cut.
  • AIR FLOW DIRECTION ADJUSTMENT: Louver can be manually adjusted.
  • WAIT 3 MINUTES BEFORE RESUMING OPERATION: A 3-minute delay protects the compressor after the unit stops.
  • POWER MANAGEMENT (on some models): During cooling, if ambient temperature is lower than the set temperature for a period, the compressor and fan motor stop. They restart when the ambient temperature rises.
  • WATER DRAINAGE:
    • Continuous Drainage: For dehumidifying modes, remove the drain plug, install a drain connector (5/8" universal female mender) with a 3/4" hose, and direct the hose to a drain.
    • Bottom Tray Drainage: When the bottom tray is full (P1 error), the unit beeps and stops air conditioning/dehumidification. The fan continues to operate. The unit must be moved to a drain location, the bottom drain plug removed, and water drained. Reinstall the plug and restart.
    • Heating Pump Mode Drainage: Remove lower drain plug, install drain connector (5/8" universal female mender) with 3/4" hose, and drain water. Ensure the drain hose is lower than the bottom tray drain outlet.

Maintenance Features:

  • Safety Precautions: Always unplug before cleaning/servicing. Do not use flammable liquids or harsh chemicals. Do not wash under running water. Do not operate with damaged power cord.
  • Air Filter Cleaning: Clean every 2 weeks for optimal performance. Do not operate without the filter.
  • Unit Cleaning: Use a damp, lint-free cloth and mild detergent. Dry with a dry, lint-free cloth. Avoid harsh cleansers, wax, or polish.
  • Storage:
    • Drain the water collection tray.
    • Run on FAN mode for 12 hours to dry and prevent mold.
    • Turn off and unplug the unit.
    • Clean and reinstall the air filter.
    • Remove batteries from the remote control.
    • Store in a cool, dark place away from direct sunshine or extreme heat.

Installation Instructions:

  • Preparation: Ensure an even surface, near a grounded plug, and accessible collection tray drain. Maintain minimum clearances. Do not cover intakes, outlets, or remote signal receptor.
  • Exhaust Hose Assembly: Press the exhaust hose (or extended exhaust hose) into the window slider adaptor (or wall exhaust adaptor) and unit adaptor. Push the assembly into the air outlet opening of the unit.
  • Adjustable Window Slider Preparation: Adjust slider length to fit the window. Use bolts to fasten multiple sliders if needed.
  • Window Installation Methods:
    • Type 1: Hang Window or Sliding Window: Cut and attach adhesive foam seals to window sash and frame. Insert window slider assembly. Cut and insert non-adhesive foam seal between glass and frame. Install security bracket if desired. Insert window slider adaptor into the window slider hole.
    • Type 2: Wall Installation (on some models): Cut a 125mm (4.9inch) hole in the wall. Secure Wall Exhaust Adaptor B with anchors and screws. Connect Exhaust Hose Assembly (with Wall Exhaust Adaptor A) to Wall Exhaust Adaptor B. Cover the hole with an adaptor cap when not in use.
  • Important Installation Note: Do not overextend or bend the hose. Ensure no obstacles around the air outlet (within 500mm) for proper exhaust system function.
