The Fujifilm Frontier 700 Series is a line of digital minilabs designed for high-quality photo printing, offering a range of models from compact to high-performance to suit various shop needs. These systems integrate advanced laser exposure technology, efficient processing, and intelligent image correction to deliver attractive, customer-pleasing prints.
The Frontier 700 Series minilabs function as integrated digital printer processors. They receive digital image data, process it, expose it onto Fujicolor Crystal Archive Paper (silver-halide) using either an iBeam or RGB laser exposure system, and then chemically process the paper to produce finished prints. The systems are capable of handling various print sizes and offer features like back printing and sorters for efficient order management. They are designed for both film-based and digital camera input, with optional film scanners available.
The series includes models LP7000, LP7100, LP7200, LP7500, LP7600, LP7700, and LP7900, each offering different processing capacities and features.
Chemical System: CP-49E rapid processing chemical system.
Image Intelligence™: This proprietary technology automatically compensates for problematic conditions such as poor lighting, backlighting, high contrast, underexposure, or overexposure. It enhances skin tones and facial expressions, ensuring attractive prints without manual correction, thus reducing processing time and improving productivity. Specific features include skin smoothing for a beautiful texture and skin color adjustment without affecting clothing or background colors.
Back Printing: All models support double 40-character lines in backside print for order identification or other information.
Film Scanners: The Frontier series is compatible with high-performance film scanners like the SP-500 (compact, for 135-film) and SP-3000 (automatic film carrier for 135 and IX240 film, with optional medium-format carrier).
Scalability: The Frontier Workflow Management Software "MS" offers outstanding scalability, allowing the system to handle various output devices, including multiple networked Frontier units, dye diffusion thermal transfer printers, and wide-format inkjet printers.
Auto Set-Up Function: This feature streamlines pre-operation work. After the processing unit's temperature control is completed at a pre-programmed time, the Frontier automatically generates a calibration printout, transmits data to the densitometer, and implements necessary measurements and adjustments. An optional automatic control strips running check unit can also automatically process a control strip.
Chemical System: The CP-49E rapid processing chemical system is designed for easy maintenance, with chemicals that can be replaced at the touch of a button. This simplifies chemical management and ensures consistent print quality.
Processor Carriage: The LP7000 uses a single-line, sheet carriage, while the LP7100-LP7900 models use a double-line, sheet carriage, contributing to efficient and reliable paper transport through the processing section.
