  If your Fujitsu LifeBook notebook turns off by itself, press any button on the keyboard or move the mouse to restore operation. If that doesn't work, press the Power/Suspend/Resume button. Check your power management settings in the Power Options menu to adjust the timeout values. If you're running on battery, ensure it's not completely drained; install a power adapter or charged battery. Verify the battery condition using the Status Indicator Panel, and replace any shorted battery. Also, check that your power adapter is correctly plugged in and the outlet has power.

  If your Fujitsu LifeBook notebook doesn't recognize DVD/CD-RW/CD-ROMs, start by removing any protective sheet from the optical drive tray and re-insert the disc properly onto the raised center circle. Ensure the media tray is latched shut. If the problem continues, verify that the correct DVD Player software is installed and that the drive designator used by the application matches the one used by the operating system. For a dirty disc, wipe it with a non-abrasive CD cleaning cloth. If the Windows auto insertion function is disabled, start the DVD/CD-RW/CD-ROM from the desktop or application software or re-enable the Windows DVD/CD-RW/CD-ROM auto insertion function.
