Usage Features

The FunRunner Utility Vehicle is designed for ease of use with several intuitive controls and indicators.

  • Ignition Switch: Located on the lower right dash panel, this switch controls the vehicle's power. It has "OFF," "L" (Low Speed), "H" (High Speed), and "R" (Reverse) positions. The key must be inserted and turned to the desired position to operate the vehicle.
  • 12V Power Outlet: A convenience feature located on the lower left dash panel, suitable for plugging in accessories requiring up to 5 amps at 12 volts.
  • Brake and Parking Brake Pedal: The brake pedal is divided into two sections. Depressing the lower and larger section activates the rear wheel brakes and stops the vehicle. The upper and smaller section engages the parking brake.
  • Accelerator Pedal: Located on the right side of the floor beneath the dash panel. Depressing the pedal increases vehicle speed, with maximum speed determined by the ignition switch setting.
  • Instrument Cluster: This cluster on the dash panel includes a temperature gauge, battery gauge, and speedometer, along with various indicators for fault, battery, vehicle "ON," low parking speed brake, high beam, and turn signals.
  • Cup Holder: Located on the right side of the dash panel for beverages.
  • Hazard Light Switch: Activates the hazard lights.
  • Horn Switch: Activates the horn.
  • Headlights/Taillights Switch: Controls the headlights and taillights.
  • Turn Signal Lever: Located on the left side of the dash panel, this lever activates the turn signals (left, right, and neutral).
  • Locking Trunk: An equipped feature for securing cargo, located at the rear of the utility vehicle. It can be opened and locked with a key.
  • Adjustable Seat Lever: Located beneath the seat on the right front side, allowing the seat to be moved forward and backward for driver comfort.
  • Battery Disconnect Switch: Located under the seat, this switch disconnects the batteries from the rest of the electrical system. It must be in the "ON" position to operate or charge the vehicle.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal performance and longevity of the FunRunner Utility Vehicle.

  • Wheel Replacement: Involves safely jacking up the vehicle, removing hubcaps, lug nuts, and replacing the wheel. Proper torque specifications for lug nuts are provided (50-55 ft-lbs initially, then 100-105 ft-lbs after driving).
  • Replacing Headlights/Taillights: Involves removing the dash panel or trunk assembly to access and replace light bulbs.
  • Batteries: The vehicle is equipped with four 12V maintenance-free batteries. Regular checks for sealed and undamaged batteries are recommended. Water should not be added.
  • Tire Pressure: Recommended tire pressure is approximately 15 psi (1.02 bar) for both front and rear tires. Overinflating or underinflating can reduce tire life.
  • Cleaning: The body panels are made of scratch and impact resistant automotive quality ABS plastic. Mild soap and non-abrasive car wax are recommended for cleaning. Abrasive cleaners or rubbing compounds should be avoided.
  • Key Replacement: In case of lost or damaged keys, customer support can be contacted for assistance.
  • Charging: The vehicle is equipped with an on-board charger. It is recommended to leave the vehicle in a charge mode to maintain a full charge and extend battery life when not in use. An outdoor extension cord (minimum 16 AWG, 3-wire, no more than 50 ft in length) is required for charging.
  • Troubleshooting: A dedicated section in the manual provides a table of common problems, possible causes, and corrective actions for issues related to battery, vehicle movement, charging, lights, temperature, and loss of power.

Safety Information

The manual emphasizes important safety practices, including:

  • Reading and understanding the operator's manual before use.
  • Locating the model plate and recording model and serial numbers for support.
  • Ensuring children operating the vehicle are 14 years old or older and supervised.
  • Never allowing more than one person to operate the vehicle.
