The transmission of blood borne pathogens (e.g. Hepatitis B Virus, Hepatitis
C, and human Immunodeficiency has been associated with the shared used
of blood glucose meters. Please clean and disinfect meters once per week
at a minimum.
If the meter is being operated by a second person who is providing testing
assistance to the user, the meter and lancing device should be cleaned
disinfected prior to use by the second person.
