Position template on door edge, mark latch height, lock body centre, and door thickness for drilling.
Drill 22mm (7/8") latch hole squarely and enlarge lock body hole to 54mm (2 1/8") from both sides.
Chisel latch faceplate recess to 3.5mm, then insert lock body and latch carrier, securing with screws.
Confirm the T-shaped hole at the rear of the latch carrier is positioned upright during installation.
For single cylinder versions, ensure the turnbutton stem is oriented towards the internal side of the door.
Insert latch, retract bolt with key, pre-drill screw holes, and install plastic faceplate shim and faceplate.
If template was removed, turn square spindle away from latch bolt housing before inserting the latch bolt.
Unclip arm, rotate bolt 180° to face tapered side towards door jamb, and re-attach arm.
Use template to mark remaining holes on door, drill pilot holes, then enlarge to correct sizes.
Drill the 54mm (2 1/8") hole for the snib rotor to the correct size, removing burrs for proper function.
Re-hand levers by pushing main gear away, then rotate lever 180° towards faceplate until it clicks into place.
Install blind screws and brass posts to the external furniture plate without the snib push-button.
Install posts to the external furniture plate without the snib push-button for the Contemporary series.
Mount external plate, insert spindle/snib rotor, then mount internal plate and tighten screws securely.
After completing installation, test all functions of the lockset to ensure smooth operation.
For single cylinder locks, tighten the grub-screw onto the protruding shaft, ensuring it's on the flat side.
Mark strike plate position on door frame, drill a 25mm (1") hole for the bolt, and chisel recesses.
Screw strike plate into position. Adjust anti-rattle tab if the door rattles when latched.
Verify the turnbutton stem is on the internal side of the door for single cylinder Trilock versions.
Remove grub screw, turn cylinder to desired direction, re-install, and re-fasten grub screw.
