The separate collection symbol consisting of a crossed-out wheeled waste container placed
on the equipment or in the documents attached to it means that used equipment should be
collected selectively and not mixed with household waste. Worn-out electrical equipment may
contain hazardous substances. Appropriate disposal of used equipment will prevent negative
consequences for the environment and human health. Households, through selective waste
collection, play an important role in environmental protection. Separately collected waste equipment
should be handed over to the seller, a collection point for electrical and electronic equipment or to
specialized companies that carry out preparation for reuse, recovery, recycling or neutralization of
used equipment. Information on the available waste electrical equipment collection system can be
found at the store’s information desk and at the city / commune office.
