The slide on the ruler has to be positioned ex-
actly on the 1 mm scale, according to the meas-
ured value, and then fixed there.
Preparing the transfer stand: the attachment
screws of the two axes (brass elements) must
be loosened, so that the axis springs push them
completely to the ends. The bars of the built-in
bite fork support must be moved completely to
the bottom. The height setting of the upper sec-
tion is turned to the top.
