  The engine may not start due to several reasons. First, ensure the power switch is in the ON position. Next, check that the spark plug wire is securely connected to the spark plug. Also, make sure the fuel tank isn't empty; if it is, refuel. The spark plug may be wet, faulty, or improperly gapped, so clean, replace, or gap it as needed. When pulling the recoil handle, hold the throttle control open. Finally, check that the fuel line hose is positioned at the bottom of the gas tank, ensuring it's submerged in fuel.

  If the engine is hard to start, the fuel may be stale; drain the old fuel and replace it with fresh fuel. Also, check that the spark plug wire is securely attached to the spark plug. A dirty carburetor can also cause this issue; clean the carburetor, use a gas stabilizer, and refuel with fresh gasoline. Finally, prime the unit three more times and hold the throttle open when pulling the recoil handle.
