Filling the tank
1) Rest the tool on the ground with the fuel tank cap
(m) facing up (See Fig. F1). Clean surface around fuel
cap to prevent contamination.
2) CAU
TION! Loosen the fuel cap slowly to release
pressure and prevent fuel from escaping around the cap.
3) Carefully pour fuel mixture into the tank.
(See Fig. F2).
NOTE: It is normal for smoke to emit from a new
2-stroke engine during and after first use.
4) Clean and inspect the fuel cap. Then tighten the
fuel cap, wiping up any spillages.
Refueling
WARNING! Always stop the engine before
refueling. Move at least 10 feet (3 meters) away
from refueling site before starting engine.
Check the fuel level by looking through the translucent
fuel tank (n). If the fuel level is low, refuel in a well
ventilated area with the engine switched off. If the
engine has been running, allow it to cool first.
INSTALLING AND ADJUSTING THE SHOULDER
HARNESS
NOTE: To avoid serious personal injury, never attempt
to start the unit when standing, when the unit is
clipped to the shoulder strap.
1. Push the strap through the center of the buckle.
2. Pull the strap over the cross bar and down through
the slot in the buckle (See Fig. G1).
3. While standing in the operating position adjust
length to fit the operators size. Pull tab to lengthen,
pull strap to shorten (See Fig. G2).
