Procedure
First switch the instrument on. This
will show the start-up banner.
Press the ‘calibrate’ key to move to the
first gas channel calibration screen. A
choice of three calibration options is
presented:
1. Reset factory delta.
2. Calibrate 0.0%.
3. Calibrate XX.X%, which is known
as the span point. The actual span
point will depend on the specific
gas channel. For example, the span
point for CH
4
is 60.0%, for CO
2
it
is 40.0%, and for O
2
it is 20.9%.
IMPORTANT
All test gas cylinders must be used
in conjunction with a gas flow
regulator set to 500 ml/min.
To reset the instrument to the factory
delta figures, simply press the ‘reset’
key. This is because the calibration
screen defaults to ‘Reset factory delta’
as shown highlighted on the screen.
To calibrate the gas channel to the 0.0% point, first press the ‘Down’ key to
highlight ‘0.0% calibration’ option. Then press the ‘calibrate’ key.
To calibrate the gas channel at the span gas point, first press the ‘Down’ key to
highlight the span point calibration option.
