Usage Features

Starting to Cook:

  1. After power on, the buzzer beeps, indicators light up for 1 second, then go out, entering standby mode.
  2. Touch the ON/OFF control (①); all indicators show “-”.
  3. Place a suitable pan on the desired cooking zone, ensuring the pan bottom and cooking zone surface are clean and dry.
  4. For most models (CH30BF, CH60BF, CH603BF, CH604BF, CH77BF), touch the heating zone selection control, then use “-” or “+” to adjust the heating stage.
  5. For models with dual or oval zones (CH604BF, CH77BF, CH90BF), activate the double zone by pressing the dedicated control. Deactivate by pressing it again.
  6. For CH603BF and CH90BF, select a heat setting by touching “-” or “+”, then adjust the heating stage. If no heat setting is chosen within 1 minute, the cooktop automatically switches off.

Finishing Cooking:

  1. For CH30BF, CH60BF, CH604BF, CH77BF, select the heating zone, then scroll down to “0” using the “-” control to turn off the cooking zone.
  2. For CH603BF, CH90BF, scroll down to “0” to turn off the cooking zone. The display will show “0” then “H” (Hot).
  3. Turn off the entire cooktop by touching the ON/OFF control.

Hot Surface Warning:

  • An “H” display indicates the cooking zone is hot to touch. It disappears when the surface cools to a safe temperature. This can also be used as an energy-saving function to heat further pans.

Locking Controls:

  • To prevent unintended use (e.g., by children), touch the keylock control. The timer indicator will show “Lo”. All controls except ON/OFF are disabled.
  • To unlock, ensure the cooktop is on, then touch and hold the keylock control for a while.
  • In lock mode, the ON/OFF control remains functional for emergencies, but the cooktop must be unlocked for subsequent operations.

Over-Temperature Protection:

  • A temperature sensor monitors the cooktop's internal temperature. If excessive temperature is detected, the cooktop automatically stops operation.

Residual Heat Warning:

  • After prolonged use, residual heat will be present. The letter “H” appears to warn users to keep away from the hot surface.

Auto Shutdown Protection:

  • The cooktop features auto shutdown if a cooking zone is left on unintentionally. Default shutdown times vary based on the power level (e.g., 8 hours for power levels 1-3, 2 hours for power level 9).

Using the Timer:

  • As a Minute Minder:
    1. Ensure the cooktop is on.
    2. Touch the timer control; the minder indicator will flash “30”.
    3. Adjust the time using “-” or “+” (once for 1 minute, hold for 10 minutes).
    4. The display shows remaining time and the timer indicator flashes for 5 seconds.
    5. The buzzer beeps for 30 seconds when the time finishes. The cooktop continues to cook; this function is a minute minder only.
  • To Turn One Cooking Zone Off:
    1. Select the desired heating zone.
    2. Touch the timer control, then adjust the time using “-” or “+”.
    3. For CH603BF, CH90BF, select the heating zone first, then set the timer.
    4. Touching “-” until “00” appears cancels the timer.
    5. When the timer is set, it counts down immediately. The display shows remaining time and the timer indicator flashes for 5 seconds. A red dot next to the power level indicator illuminates, indicating the zone is selected.
    6. When the timer expires, the corresponding cooking zone switches off automatically. Other active zones continue to operate.
  • To Turn More Than One Cooking Zone Off:
    1. If multiple zones use the timer, the timer indicator shows the lowest remaining time.
    2. When a cooking timer expires, the corresponding cooking zone switches off automatically.
    3. To change the time after setting, restart from step 1.

Power Management (Group A models):

  • If both zones in Group A are working at or above power stage 7, they automatically switch on and off in turns, controlled by software.
  • If only one zone is on, or both zones are below power stage 7, there is no software limitation.
  • Group B zones can work together without limitation.

Cooking Guidelines:

  • Reduce temperature settings when food boils.
  • Use a lid to reduce cooking times and save energy.
  • Minimize liquid or fat to reduce cooking times.
