If you observe a noisy UV-signal, signal drift, or instability in your GE HEALTHCARE Laboratory Equipment, several factors could be at play. First, the UV cell might be dirty; try cleaning it by flushing it with Decon™90, Deconex™11, or an equivalent solution. Another potential cause is an impure buffer. To check this, see if the signal remains noisy when using water. Finally, air in the pump or UV cell could be the culprit. In this case, purge the pump as described in the Pump User Manual and run a system wash with buffer.
