INTRODUCTION

breakers
are
two

pole
power
circuit
breakers
with
field
discharge
contacts
placed
in
the
center
pole
.
Opening
of
the
breaker

outer
poles
closes
the
field
discharge
contacts
,
thus
connecting
a
discharge
resistor
across
the
field
of
the
genera
-
tor
or
motor
.
Type
AK
power
circuit
breakers
are

intended
to
impart
the
necessary
designed
for
general
use
on
all

of

required
for
proper
main
