INTRODUCTION

two

power
circuit
breakers with
field
discharge
contacts
placed
in
the
center
pole
.
Opening
of
the breaker

closes
the field
discharge
contacts

thus
connecting
a
discharge
resistor
across
the
field
of
the
genera

tor
or
motor
.
