This manual does not cover selection, layout, installation,
and configuration of the network.
There are two types of FieldMonitor systems, each of which
uses a different terminal base. Terminal bases are the
mounting platform and wiring termination point for the
FieldMonitor system. The 1701/05 Terminal Base (TB) is used
for most applications that do not require intrinsic safety and
the 1701/06 Isolator Terminal Base (ITB) is used for
applications that do require intrinsic safety.
