What to do if my GE DISPOSALL GREEN05 doesn't start?

First, check the red reset button, located opposite the discharge elbow near the bottom of the disposal behind its protective shield. Reach up and under the protective shield and push the button in until it clicks and remains depressed. If the reset button has been tripped, it may be the reason the GE Garbage Disposal doesn't start. If the reset button hasn't been tripped, examine the wiring for shorts or breaks and inspect the power switch, fuse box, or circuit breaker. If these components are intact, the unit might have internal issues needing professional attention or replacement.
