Burner Caps and Heads
NOTE:Before removing the burner caps
and heads, remember their size and
location. Replace them in the same location
after cleaning.
Burner caps
Lift off when cool.Wash burner caps in hot,
soapy water and rinse with clean water. You
may scour with a plasticscouring pad to
remove burned-on food particles.
Burner heads
Forproper ignition, make sure the small hole in
the section that fits overthe electrode is kept
open.A sewing needle or wire twist-tie works
well to unclog it.
Theslitsin the burner heads must bekept clean
at all times for an even,unhampered flame.
Cloggedor dirty burner ports or electrodeswill
not allow the burner to operate properly.
Any spillon or around on electrode must
be carefully cleaned. Takecare to not hit an
electrode with anything hard or it could be
damaged.
Youshould clean the burner cups and burner
heads routinely, especiallyafter bad spillovers,
which could clog the openings in the burner
heads. Lift off when cool.
Toremove burned-on food, soak the burner
heads in a solution of mild liquid detergent
and hot water for 20-30 minutes. For more
stubborn stains, use a toothbrush.
After cleaning
Before putting the burner caps and heads back,
shake out excesswater and then dry them
thoroughly by setting in a warm oven for 30
minutes.
NOTE:Do not use steelwool or scouring
powders to cleanthe burners.
Replacement
Replaceburner heads over the electrodes
on the cooktop, inthe correct locations
according to their size.

On some models:
Hake surethe slot inthe burner head is
positioned overthe electrode.
Replace the matching size caps onto the heads.
Make sure that the heads and caps are
replaced in the correct locations.
NOTE: On some models, the burners are all the
same size and power.
