Read these instructions completely and carefully.
Improper installation, adjustment, alteration, service
or maintenance can cause injury or property damage.
Refer to this manual. For assistance or additional
information, consult a qualified installer, service agency,
manufacturer (dealer) or the gas supplier.

• Hove your r(]nge inst(]lled by (] qu(]lified inst(]ller.
• Your r(]nge must be electric(lily grounded in (]ccord(]nce
with Ioc(]lcodes or, in the (]bsence of Ioc(]lcodes, in
(]ccord(]nce with the N(]tion(]l Electric(]lCode (ANSI/NFPA
70,I(]testedition). In C(]n(]d(],electric(]l grounding must
be in (]ccord(]ncewith the current CSAC22.1C(]n(]di(]n
Electric(]lCodePort 1 (]nd/or Ioc(]l codes.SeeElectric(]l
Connections in this section.
• Before inst(]llingyour r(]nge on linoleum or (]ny other
synthetic floor covering, m(]ke sure the floor covering
con withst(]nd 180°Fwithout shrinking,w(]rping or
discoloring. Donot inst(]llthe r(]nge over c(]rpeting
unless (]sheet of 1/4" thick plywood or simil(]r insul(]tor
ispl(]ced between the r(]nge (]nd c(]rpeting.
• M(]kesure the w(]ll coverings (]round the r(]nge con
withst(]nd he(it gener(]ted by the r(]nge up to 200°F.
Avoid pl(]cing c(]binets (]bove the r(]nge.To reduce the
h(]z(]rdc(]used by re(]ching over the open fl(]mes of
oper(]ting burners, inst(]ll (]ventil(]tion hood over the
r(]nge th(]t projects forw(]rd (it le(]st5" beyond the front
of the c(]binets.
Theventil(]ting hood must be constructed of sheet met(]l
not lessth(]n 0.0122" thick. Inst(]ll(]bove the cooktop
with (] cle(]r(]nceof not lessth(]n 1/4" between the
hood (]ndthe undersideof the combustible m(]teri(]l or
met(]l c(]binet.Thehood must be (it le(]st(is wide (is the
(]ppli(]nce(]nd centered over the (]ppli(]nce.Cle(]r(]nce
between the cooking surf(ice (]nd the ventil(]tion hood
surf(ice MUSTNEVERBELESSTHAN 24 INCHES.
EXCEPTION: Inst(]ll(]tion of (]listed microw(]ve oven or
cooking (]ppli(]nce over the cooktop sh(]ll conform to the
inst(]ll(]tion instructions pocked with th(]t (]ppli(]nce.
If c(]binets ore pl(]ced (]bove the r(]nge,(]llow (] minimum
cle(]r(]nce of 30" between the cooking surf(ice (]nd the
bottom of unprotected c(]binets.
If (] 30" cle(]r(]nce between cooking surf(ice (]nd
overhe(]d combustible m(]teri(]l or met(]l c(]binets c(]nnot
be m(]int(]ined,protect the underside of the c(]binets
(]bove the cooktop with not lessth(]n 1/4" insul(]ting
millbo(]rd covered with sheet met(]l not lessth(]n
0.0122" thick. Cle(]r(]ncebetween the cooking surf(ice
(]nd protected c(]binets MUSTNEVERBELESSTHAN
24 INCHES.
Thevertic(]l dist(]nce from the pl(]neof the cooking
surf(ice to the bottom of (]dj(]cent overhe(]d c(]binets
extending closer th(]n 1" to the pl(]ne of the r(]nge sides
must not be lessth(]n 18". (Seethe Dimensions(]nd
Cle(]r(]nces illustr(]tion in this section.)
• -4,CAUTION - Itemsofinteresttochildren
should not be stored in c(]binets (]bove (] r(]nge or on the
b(]ckspl(]shof (] r(]nge-children climbing on the r(]nge
to re(]ch items could be seriously injured.
IMPORTANT!
Remove all tape and packaging. Make sure the burners
are properly seated and level.
Lift up the cooktop (on models with standard twin
burners) and remove any packing material under it.
Take the accessory pack out of the oven andlor drawer.
Checkto be sure that no range parts have come loose
during shipping.
