  If your dishes aren't drying in your GE Dishwasher, several factors could be the reason. Ensure the inlet water temperature is at least 120°F and select Heated Dry or Dry Boost, also use Wash Temp Boost. Check if the rinse agent dispenser is empty and fill as needed. Additional drying time may be required; leave the door closed after the Clean light appears to allow the fan to run for an additional 90 minutes (on some models), but note that opening the door will cancel this extension. The selected cycle could also be a factor; the Light cycle uses lower water temperatures, limiting drying performance, so try a different cycle. Finally, ensure the cycle fully completes.

  If water is standing in the bottom of the tub of your GE Dishwasher, the air gap might be clogged; clean the air gap, see the Care and Cleaning section. Also, check if a high drain loop or air gap is not installed; refer to the Installation Instructions for proper drain line installation.

  If your GE Dishwasher won’t run, there are a few things to check. First, see if a fuse is blown or a circuit breaker is tripped; replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker and remove any other appliances from the circuit. Also, in some installations, the power to the dishwasher is provided through a wall switch; make sure it is on.   If the control panel of your GE Dishwasher responds to inputs but the dishwasher never fills with water, the door may not be completely closed; make sure the door is firmly closed. Also, the water valve may be turned off; make sure the water valve (usually located under the sink) is turned on. The flood float may be stuck; remove the Ultra-Fine Filter assembly and lightly tap the piece under the ultra fine filter assembly that looks like a dome, then replace the filter.

  If you're noticing spots and filming on your glasses and flatware after running your GE Dishwasher, it could be due to several reasons. Extremely hard water is a common cause; try using rinse agents like Finish® Jet-Dry® Rinse Aid, and consider a water softener if the problem persists. Low inlet water temperature can also contribute, so ensure it's at least 120°F (49°C). Overloading or improper loading can prevent proper cleaning, so load the dishwasher as shown in the Loading section. Other factors include old or damp powder detergent (ensure it's fresh and use a highly rated detergent), an empty rinse agent dispenser (refill it), or using too little or a low-performing detergent (use the proper amount of a highly rated detergent).

How to remove stains from the inside of my GE Dishwasher?

  If your GE Dishwasher tub interior is stained, several factors could be the cause. Tomato-based foods can cause reddish stains; using the Steam Sani cycle (on some models) after adding the dish to the load may decrease staining. Tea or coffee stains can be removed by hand using a solution of 1/2 cup bleach and 3 cups warm water. An overall yellow or brown film can be caused by iron deposits in water, which can only be corrected with a special filter in the water supply line (contact a water softener company). White film on the inside surface can be caused by hard water minerals; GE Appliances recommends Finish® Jet-Dry® Rinse Aid to help prevent these deposits, and you can run the dishwasher with citric acid to remove existing mineral deposits.

  Cloudiness on glassware in your GE Dishwasher can stem from a few causes. A combination of soft water and too much detergent can lead to etching, which is permanent; use less detergent if you have soft water and wash glassware in the shortest cycle possible. Finally, water temperature entering the dishwasher exceeding 150°F (66°C) can contribute; lower the water heater temperature.
