Aluminum to Copper Tubing Repair Using
LOKRING Method
Note: To prevent creation of leak paths through
lengthwise groves, always clean tubing in a rotory
direction.
1. Clean tubing on both sides of the tting.
3. Cut the copper tubing close to the tting.
2. Cut below any scratches on the aluminum
tubing.
4. Position the tubing and apply LOKPREP
(Part #WR88X16).
5. Using LOKRING connector, part #WR97x10044
(5/16 in. to 5/16 in.), crimp the lower section of
the connector, being careful not to bend or kink
the aluminum condenser tubing.
